After 22 years away from the restaurant industry, Mirtha Diaz resurfaces with her traditional Cuban cuisine that she shared with Atlanta for almost 15 years. Original location was Morro Castle from 1981 to 1995 located in mid town Atlanta, forced to close due to the Olympic games and the property was sold. Her husband was going thru cancer at the time it seemed pointless to reopen their passion for this cuisine without her partner.
Needless to say he did not survive and there hasn’t really been a need to share the tradition with anyone else but family until now. 22 years later Mirtha has decided to give it another chance and try to share her passion and home cooked meals and sandwiches with Atlanta.
